…willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort..
To me, this means we need to create a community that cares for the welfare of others. The family is the front line of that community. The ward enhances the family by adding to its community skills, resources, and services that families may struggle to provide.
But we are all part of a larger community, outside the confines of the ward. We belong to a city, county, state, and nation. Each of these components can assist to bring to pass our covenant obligation to mourn with those who mourn and comfort those who stand in need of comfort.
This portion of the provident living site provides those who are aware of community resources that can assist a targeted need to share that information. Those we may need to go outside the family or ward to get help lifting a burden can use this site to help locate a resources that may meet their needs.
