Sister E. Moore: 4TH FLOOR, LAST DOOR (OR NO DOOR)

Here is an excerpt from Sister E. Moore’s recent letter home:

Hey but because we were out contacting while I was sick we found a new investigator! It was awesome 😊 we had a few things cancel on us Friday afternoon and our backup plans just didn’t seem right. We prayed about it and both felt we should go knock a specific street. 4:00 on a Friday afternoon isn’t the best time to knock but we went anyway. When we were setting goals in our car before starting both Sister Sharpe and I felt we should pray for a return appointment. We got out and knocked almost every door on that street. Definitely all the ones with the cars in the driveway. But every single one wasn’t interested, and they were pretty rude about it. I was a little discouraged, but I still had faith because I knew God answers our prayers. We were already late for our dinner appointment but we knocked on one last door and a man answered and listened to us give a brief run down of the plan of salvation, but he said he wasn’t interested in learning more. We were disappointed and we started to cross the street to go back to our car when a car pulled up andΒ  big Samoan guy with tattooes all over rolled down his window and said, “Hey are you guys Mormons?” We said yes we were and he explained that he had a lot of friends who were Mormon. We talked for a few minutes and asked if he would be interested in learning more. We set up a time to teach him more this week! God really does answer our prayers, sometimes he just tests our faith first.Β
