Sister E. Moore: Learning from Trials

Here is an excerpt from Sister E. Moore’s recent letter home:

This week I have been thinking a lot about something Elder Bennett talked about last week when he came to our mission. He said “Hundreds of people in your area woke up wanting to know the truth. It’s up to you to find them” and then I was reading something else this week that said “God knows exactly where all the elect in your area live, and what they do. He could lead you right to them. But what good would that do for YOU?” I think that correlates with life as well. God knows exactly where you need to be in your life and what you need to accomplish. He could just give us the knowledge we need, but we would never actually learn anything. We learn from our trials and struggles, even if we don’t want them in the moment. My favorite lessons I’ve learned in life have been the hardest ones to learn. So keep going, keep trying, and don’t let that smile leave your face. Far too many people need it.
