Here is an excerpt from Sister R. Moore’s recent letter home:
One day as we were knocking doors we met a woman outside and talked to her for a few minutes, but then she had left to go somewhere else. When we got to what I thought was her door, I was a little apprehensive about knocking on it, in case she had returned and would have to reject us again. But we faithfully knocked on the door, and a different young woman answered. Once again at first impression, I was not sure if she would be interested in listening, as she did not look like the typical person who would be open to the gospel. However, Nicole turned out to be a sweet girl, and we had a good conversation about faith for 10 minutes. We left her with a Book of Mormon and an invitation to come to church, and honestly I didn’t think too much about it. But of course once again my worldly impressions were wrong. Because she texted us and said she wanted to come to church!!! And she did come, and she loved it! She is a sweetheart and I am so excited to be able to meet with her again! Thank goodness my impressions don’t matter, because I would have never guessed that she would be interested in the gospel!
