Sister E. Moore – Power of Prayer

Here is an excerpt from Sister E. Moore’s recent letter home:

The power of prayer is real! Being a missionary is hard. One day we had almost everything cancel on us and it seemed that nothing effective happened from our work. I was worried about quite a few things with our investigators and such the next morning and I had gotten ready early so I knelt down and poured out my heart to my Heavenly Father for the next 15 minutes. Things didn’t get better immediately, but I did have an overwhelming feeling of peace, like everything was going to be okay. And all the sudden my attitude about the rest of the day totally changed and we had an amazing day! In the bible dictionary under prayer it says, “Prayer is the act by which the will of the Father and the will of the child are brought into correspondence with each other.” Things often don’t go as planned, but I have faith that as I pray and follow promptings from the Holy Ghost, things will go as God plans them. Next time you’re frustrated, say a prayer of faith and I promise that little rain cloud over your head will turn into sunshine ☀️
